| Amid controversy CM announces distribution of portfolios | | | Srinagar, August 31 Following cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad today announced portfolios among ministers of his 10 month old coalition ministry. Throwing to winds the proposal of PDP Chief Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Azad re-allotted key portfolios of finance, planning, law and parliamentary affairs to Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig, but he was divested of tourism portfolio. Mangat Ram Sharma was allotted portfolios of Health and Medical Education Departments, while as Hakeem Mohd Yaseen was allotted portfolio of Transport department and Taj Mohi-ud-Din was once again given the portfolio of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department in addition to Animal and Sheep Husbandary and Information Technology, the portfolios already held by him. Peerzada Mohd Sayeed was allotted the portfolio of Education Department, while as Dilawar Mir was gifted the portfolios of Horticulture, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control departments and Tariq Hammed Qarrah was allotted Housing and Urban Development and Tourism portfolios. Qazi Mohd Afzal has been gifted portfolios of forest and environment department and Jugal Kishore was allotted the portfolio of Rural Development Department, while as Babu Singh was asked to look after Youth Services, Sports, Administrative Reforms, Inspection and Trainings and Stationary and Printing as Minister of State with independent charge. Seven ministers of state inducted recently were also allotted portfolios. Dr. Ramesh Chander Sharma was gifted Industries and Commerce portfolios besides PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control followed by Javed Mustafa Mir with Rural Developmen, Science & Technology and Information Technology, Manjeet Singh School Education and Consumer Affairs, Aijaz Ahmed Khan with Agriculture, Horticulture, forest, higher education and technical education , Peer Mohd Hussain with PHE and Health, Mohd Khaleel Band with R&B and Animal Husbandary and Prem Sagar Aziz with finance, planning, Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Revenue.
