| PDP summons emergency meeting | | |

Following the rejection of PDP proposal on distribution of portfolios by Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad, Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig has engaged into a direct confrontation with PDP Chief Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his heir apparent daughter-turned-PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
Disclosing thie, sources said that an emergency meeting of PDP legislature party has been convened late in the evening today. The meeting is being convened in the backdrop of the rejection of party proposal by Chief Minister which sought change in portfolios of Deputy Chief Minister presently held by him. However Chief Minister Choose to reject the proposal and allotted portfolios among ministers by using his discretionary powers. All eye are on PDP legislature party meeting during which announcement of pulling out from the coalition ministry headed by Gh Nabi Azad is not ruled out.
It has been learnt that Deputy Chief Minister visited PDP Chief Patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed's residence in the after noon today, but he had gone to Bijbehra following and with this Beig could not meet Mufti to resolve the controversy. He finally rushed to Civil Secretariat where he held a close door meeting with Chief Minister who announced distribution of portfolios after concluding his meeting with Deputy Chief Minister.
