| Parliament discriminate with people of J&K: Bhim | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 9 Bhim Singh, chairman JKNPP today released Delhi declaration at a press conference here speaking amendments in art 370 so as to restore the parliament with its power to legislate on J&K, at least, in respect of four subjects which are included in the instrument of Accesion by Maharaja Hari Singh on 26th Oct.1947 which has been abdicated by the parliament in its original constitution of 26th Jan.1950. The Delhi declaration was issued on June 1, 2008 in Delhi by Prof. Bhim Singh after a three day discussion by the state council of delegates. Singh on the occasion said that the confusion created by several busy bodies and some political parties in J&K in the name of autonomy, self rule and azadi shall also get diluted beside, people of the three regions get justice and equity after the reorganization of the state under the command of art 370. He also regretted that the parliament has been discriminating against the people of Jammu and Kashmir by denying them the right to present their class or problems in the parliament in spite of the accession. He demanded a debate in the country on the subjects by the bars, media, intellectuals, thinkers, the political parties in order to generate public opinion in the country so that people of J&K are made to feel as a real and emotional part of India, he added. |
