Though the rain provided respite to the people from rising mercury in the Winter Capital, but it disturbed the fixture of the inter-district boys’ football tournament organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at MA Stadium, here today.
Now, the two-day competitions in under-17 and under-14 year age groups shall take place tomorrow. And, if need arise, can be extended for one more day, a senior Physical Education Master (PEM) of DYSS, Raj Kumar told reporters.
In all, eight teams have reported for the tournament. While three districts of Jammu, Poonch and Rajouri have fielded teams in both under-14 and under-17 age groups, the other two districts of Kathua and Udhampur are taking part in only one age group of under-14 and under-17 respectively. |
