| Radio Jammu extends morning transmission of CBS-FM Channel | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 9 Radio listeners in the State will have an added flavour to their tastes as Prasar Bharati has extended and localized the morning transmission of its Commercial Broadcasting Service, popularly known as Vividh Bharati Service of Radio Kashmir Jammu from June 9. This FM Service is available on 104.5MHz. Accordingly, the morning transmission of Radio Kashmir Jammu’s Vividh Bharati FM Service will begin at 6 in the morning and will continue uninterrupted upto 11.05 pm in the night, except for a close down for some minutes around 5.30 pm. Earlier, the Station was closing down its morning transmission at 10.05 am but now it will broadcast the local variation propgarmmes daily for two hours from 10 am to 12 noon, Station Director Dr K C Dubey said, while inaugurating the extended services today. Considering its popularity and public demand, the CBS Station of Radio Jammu has decided to introduce live phone-in programmes on health, legal aids, developmental activities, career counselling etc besides interviews with public representatives. Apart from tips on health, legal aid and career, the Station will play the Hindi film hits and the unique Dogri numbers on listeners’ choice. On the inaugural day, Jammu’s leading physician Dr Manoj replied to hundreds of listeners calls in a live broadcast weekly programme `` Sanjeevani’’. All the new programmes have been assigned to the ace broadcasters. While ``Sanjeevani’’ will be looked after by Programme Executive Ravi Magotra, a programme on Legal Aid has been assigned to Mr Subash Sharma, Pex. Mr Sumit Sharma, Trex will look after programme on career counseling, while’s music programmes of both Hindi and local variation have been assigned to incharge Music Section, Mr T R Mangotra. Dr Dubey hoped that given the popularity of the programmes, the advertisers could take the best use of the services of this channel to promote their business and public messages. |
