Spl Sec exhorts upon offices for clearing NPR and Census tendencies

Jammu, Oct 10: Amit Sharma, Special Secretary, Summer Secretariat, Jammu today held a review meeting with Accounts Officers of various Deputy Commissioner offices of Jammu division and Jammu Municipal Corporation regarding submission of long pending Utilisation Certificates related to NPR Census conducted in 2019-11 in Civil Secretariat, Complext Jammu. The officers who attended the said meeting included Amrit Paul, AO DC Office Jammu, Mukhtiyar Ahmad, AO DC Office Kathua, Monika Lahotra, AO, DC Office Samba, Talit Mehmood, AO DC Office Rajouri, Abdul Hamid, AO DC Office Poonch, Sumeer Ji Bhat, AAO GAD and Deep Kumar, Statistical Officer JMC. Sharma advised all the related Accounts Officers to ensure immediate submission of the UCs as Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India is very particular about their submission so that next funding for the upcoming 2020-21 NPR and Census can be released and process can be set into motion. He further told them that all DC offices and JMC should be very particular in future regarding timely submission of UCs as in the new dispensation in Union Territory, everything shall be keenly watched and monitored directly by the Government of India wherein total professionalism is expected from the erstwhile J&K state officers and officials. Amit further exhorted upon these officers to submit these Utilisation Certificates and latest data on unspent funds which has to be submitted without fail before Darbar Move within the next ten days. It was also directed to DC Jammu Office Accounts Officer to submit all pending data within next five days. Other DC Offices Accounts Officers from Samba, Kathua, Poonch and Rajouri were directed to clear old liabilities and submit final UCs before Darbar Move this year. Similarly, JMC was also advised to submit final data at the earliest. All officers assured Special Secretary Amit Sharma that there shall be timely submission of requisite data and UCs as per the timelines decided in this meeting so that the exercise for the Census 2020-21 can be initiated soon by MHA, Government of India in Jammu & Kashmir after it.
