| How clean is my Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 10 On one hand the transporters strike has paralysed normal life across the state and on the other hand large number of people are expereincing for the first time whiff of clean and fresh air onthe city roads as pollution levels have considerably gone down in the last two days Iin Jammu . A simple trip round the city will fill the visitors mind with fresh air as the city roads are not witnessing customary chaos and confusion on the city roads. A senior state government official of the Pollution control board himself admitted that the data collected over the last two days has thrown a significant comparison of pollution level. Quoting percentage figures the PCB official said compared to routine days the pollution level has gone dowm more than 15 -20 per cent giving an opportunity to the local residents to feel the cleaner environs in the otherwise busy city witnessing lateral growth of vehicles over the last two decades.Traffic cops at different rotaries were aslo seen relaxing as the city traffic was moving smoothly in the absence of private transport services. |
