| JKNPP eyes on capturing power, works overtime to defeat opponents | | | Vikas Sharma Jammu | June 11 With an eye on the forthcoming assembly polls and to capture power, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party is likely to give a tough fight to its arch rivals including some national parties like Congress BJP, BSP and other regional parties like National Conference(NC). The party much ahead of the poll schedule has started its election campaign in the entire Jammu region and are in jubilant mood over the response it has been receiving from the masses. As a part of its silver jubilee celebrations, the party has organized several functions across the region during the last few months wooing voters to the party fold. The party sources maintained that this year’s election would be a do and die battle for the party and every effort would be made to defeat all those parties which have failed to deliver the goods and provide justice to the Jammuties who have always been at the receiving end at the hands of Kashmir centric leaders. The party is up in arms to highlight the failures of the government especially the deep rooted corruption in the administration. The party is optimistic to be rewarded by the voters as it has actively highlighted the problems of the masses and succeeded in getting their burning issues redressed. While talking with the Early Times general secretary, JKNPP and the strong contender of the party from the Marh constituency, Anita Thakur said that the frustration in the Congress camp is eminent which the Chief Minster had shown it himself by inducting the non-political background, top bureaucrat and former state Chief secretary, BR Kundal in his cabinet after forcing him to resign from the top post. She said that if the Chief Minister was sincere to give representation to the SC community in the Council of Ministers there were more options, but by appointing Kundal, CM has proved that he is going to blackmail the SC community under the Kundal card. “It is ripe time for her to take revenge from the corrupted congress government, who misbehaved and manhandled her at the hands of police, when they were protesting peacefully in favor of the demands of the Doda migrants that has betrayed for the long time and are facing discrimination at the hands of the congress government,” she maintained. |
