JAMMU, Oct 18: A one day awareness-cum-demonstration programme was today held at NCC camping Ground Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu.
The programme was organized under supervision of Dy. SP Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the awareness camp the NCC cadets and NCC Officers/Officials from different Educational Institution were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, emergency methods of rescue, fire-fighting along with demonstration by the civil defence instructors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dy.SP, Shashi Thakur highlighted the role of Civil Defence and also share her views regarding the importance of first Aid, Rescue Techniques, Do's and Don'ts during manmade/natural disaster.
Colonel R. K. Sharma, Camp Commander highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the Dy. SP, Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu and her team for organized an important awareness programme and he advised the cadets to become good human beings to serve the society by joining such organization.
At least 500 NCC Cadets (Girls/Boys) of Jammu Province and NCC Officers/Officials from different Educational Institution were attended the awareness programme.
Paramjeet Kumar Chief Warden, Civil Defence Jammu was also present on the occasion and also delivered valuable lectures and highlighted the role of Civil Defence organization. |
