Jammu | June 11
Extending the party’s full support to the genuine demands of the striking clerical staff, BJP state general secretary, Shamsher Singh Manhas today asked the congress-led coalition government to take notice of the public sufferings which has ensued on account of the strike.
He said government should realize that it has the responsibility to ensure that sufferings and inconvience public is avoided and not to stand on prestige on account of approaching state assembly elections.
Manhas said the ding-dong policy adopted indicates that the government wants to allow the strike to continue and then on the eve of elections, hold talks and added the strike has crippled the working in govt. offices and public made to suffer unnecessarily. He expressed hope that the government will take immediate and necessary step that the public do not suffer any more.
