Early Times Reporters Jammu | June 11 To promote the visual art, Jammu and Kashmir academy of art, culture and languages (JKAACL) organized a group show of Basholi miniature paintings at Kala Kendra here today. The exhibition was inaugurated by Vetern artist tarloki Koul, a total number of 27 paintings by the fourteen artists are on display. These paintings were prepared in the Basholi miniature painting workshop organized by the academy. On the occasion secretary JKAACL, Zafar Iqbal Manhas, Savita Bakshi, additional secretary, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, senior drama instructor and the prominent visual artists of the state were present. The artists whose work are on display in the gallery included Kanchan Ballouria, Mohd. Akram Khan, Arun Soni, Dharam Paul Verma, Pooja, Dheeraj Kapoor, Rajni Bala, Sona Kapoor, Kabir Chand Maharana, S.P. Raina, Sushil Padha, Shakeel Ahmed Raza, Savita Sharma and Yashwant Kumar. The exhibition will remain open for public till 11th July. |
