| Wither global warming | | | | Going by the ground reality of situation and climatic situation prevailing in most parts of India, with weather still comparatively cool in North India, which in the past witnessed extreme heat around this time of the year, all the predictions about global warming appear to have proved a hoax. The scientists and experts on the climatic conditions had been holding warnings of our earth getting warmer and warmer with every successive year and forecasting its drastic consequences, with water bodies getting dried up, ecological balance getting totally disturbed, with a very large number of birds and animals, including the wild animals getting extinct, as a result of extreme heat, which they would not be able to withstand and even warnings of much loss to human life---all these forecast made by the profits of gloom, appear to have falsified. Last winter witnessed extreme cold, not only in north India, where there was unprecedented heavy snowfall on the mountains, with the snowfall prolonging for three to four months, even those parts in the country, which usually did not witness cold weather, did have the experience of the same. The month of May, which is believed to be the harbinger of summer season accompanied with hot weather, remained comparatively much cooler this year, with Delhi and some surrounding areas having heavy rainfall, June which normally is the hottest season in this part of the country is comparatively much less hot this year, with rain shower taking place occasionally. For last few years we are hardly witnessing the blowing of extreme hot winds, called loo, which used to be a common phenomenon in the month of June, in the past. However, despite these facts which goal to falsify the forecast by the experts about global warming, with all its disastrous consequences, the experts still continue to be insisting and holding warnings about global warming. The weather observers and the weather gods usually contradict each other and perhaps this has happened in the case of forecasts about global warming. Nevertheless, it will be suicidal to take the forecast and warnings lightly and not take the precautions as suggested by the experts to have the minimal effect of the global warming, by taking concrete steps to avoid pollutants and gases leading to warming, spreading into the atmosphere. We should take all the measures and make the maximum efforts to keep our earth and atmosphere living kinds and vegetation friendly. The earth and atmosphere around us, which shower their blessings on us and bestow us with all the pleasant things, should be kept in good temper by the human beings as well, by trying to maintain the fine balance. |
