Residents of Akhnoor area today staged protest demonstration against public health engineer and power development department against scarcity of electricity and water here today. Shouting slogans against departments people alleged that they had not even seen a drop of water from the tap from the last four days. They said that there is no schedule of power cut. They said that they had approached the officials of the concerned departments but had to come with assurances in their pocket. Early Times when contacted to the Divisional engineer of PHE department Vinodh Kumar shifting blame to PDD department said that proper electricity had not been received resulting low supply of water.On being contacted to PDD department assistant executive engineer Inderjeet Singh said that electricity was being supplied to the PHE department properly .It was the fault of theirs,he alleged. |
