One person was detained under Public Safety Act here today.The accused identified as Mohd Rafiq s/o Abdul Majid r/o Treat Basti,Bari Brahmana was a history sheeter and was involved in number of criminal activities. Eleven cases have been registered against him including three attempt on murder cases.He was evading his arrest for the last so many years. Few days back Bari Brahmana police developed information that the accused was in the area and a police party led by Sub Inspector Surash Gautam raided his house but the accused after attacking police party escaped from the spot. He was nabbed only when massages were spread. Today District Magistrate Samba, Sourabh Bhagat, keeping in view his criminal records imposed Public Safety Act against him. |
