| Dreaded militant arrested | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 12 Security forces today claimed to have arrested a militant from Handwara area working for various organizations active in North Kashmir. Official sources told KMT that a specific information was received by Handwara Police regarding presence of militants in the orchids of Sheikh Mohalla, Tarathpora, Vilgam on which police and 125 Bn. CRPF launched a joint operation and cordoned the targeted area. The search team acted meticulously and operation party succeeded in arresting the recycled militant Gh. Nabi Sheikh, son of Late Mohd Maqbool Sheikh, resident of Tarathpora, with arms ammunition which included one Chinese Pistol, one pistol magazine and four pistol rounds, sources added. They said that militant was earlier working with outlawed Al- Fatah and had recently joined HM. He was also assisting other militant outfits in Ramhal area by guiding them and providing logistics. |
