BMS stages protest against Labour Deptt

Jammu, Oct 23: A massive protest demonstration was held in front of Regional Labour Commissioner Office Gandhi Nagar Jammu led by Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu Kashmir against the anti workers policies of the RLC Jammu. The state president Subash Verma alleged that working of RLC is anti poor and always played in the hands of employers and least bother about the plight of poor workers those who file their grievance in this office.
Even in termination cases under Industrial Dispute Act 1947 there is clear direction under law that conciliation officer has to complete the conciliation proceeding within 45 days but this officer took two months just to send notice to employers more over he humiliate the workers in presence of employers just to please and favour them with vested interest. While addressing the workers Ashok Choudhary, alleged that there are numbers of complaints about the working of RLC Jammu and he had also misbehaved with our senior leader Late S. Ravinder Singh Ji and is nuisance creator and demanded that since this officer is just dead wood in the central govt labour department and needed to sent home and me also are going to meet with the central labour minister in this regard, in the protest among others Harbans Choudhary, Chuni Lal, Rohit Seth, Karan Singh, Sumit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Bua Ditta, and Roop Lal were present in the protest dharna. Said in a press note.
