| Trial run for Kashmir's first train begins | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 12 Kashmir valley will get its first train service later in June and the train begun its trial run on Thursday. Senior railway officials are present for the trial run of the 55-km long Anantnag-Kakapora-Badgam track. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to inaugurate the service by the end of June. The train has air-conditioned coaches with a heating system and pushback seats. It is the first time that a train with all these facilities will cover short distances. |
