| Niaz demands full compensation to land owners | | | Early Times Reporter

Former Minister and sitting MLC Mohammad Sharief Niaz in a statement has demanded payment of full compensation in favour of the land owners with out deducting 14% as a tax.
He said that the compensation to the land owners, whose land/houses/orchards stands acquired by the government for various development works in Bhalessa area, are being paid after deducting 14% as tax to be payable to the government. A great resentment on this account is mounting in the area, he said adding that that large number of deputations complained to him during his visit to different areas of Bhalessa.
Niaz has urged the Chief Minister for a proper probe into the matter so that the poor land owners of this remote area ,may not face any financial loss on this account. He also demanded that in case any order for deduction of 14% as tax, out of compensation being paid to the land owners, has been issued by the government, the same may be cancelled immediately to redress the grievances of the general public. |
