Defying the tall claims of 'tight vigil' by Army along line of control, a woman alon gwith a five-month old baby crossed back to this side after spending three months in Pakistan via Karni sector of border district Poonch here last night.
The Paramour with whom the woman crossed over the border married another girl in PoK thereby deceived her and pushed back to this side.
Informed sources said that a resident of Kasba village, Nagina Bi wife of Mohd Afzal and a mother of five children, had eloped with a 35 year old Mohd Rashid son of Akbar Jaat of the same village to other side of the border on intervening night of 26-27 March 2008.
"Mohd Rashid, who was already married here had developed relations with the women and decided to cross over to other side", sources said.
The duo managed to cross over to other side despite tight vigil of security forces on the border in Karni Sector on intervening night of March 26-27, sources said adding today morning people were surprised to see the women at her home.
"The lovers had reportedly crossed over to the other side of border from Keri sector during the intervening night of 26-27 March thereby defying all claims of army" sources added.
On reaching PoK the duo stayed in the house of the Poonch resident who had ex-filtrated to other side in 1991.
The Paramour, Rashid who managed to marry another girl in PoK and deceived the woman with the help of her maternal uncle 'Mama' and pack her back through the same route despite last night along with her child.
The woman, sources said, along with her five months baby crossed the border, last night and landed in brother's house who presented her before police.
It is pertinent to mention that the husband of the woman had already lodged a missing report with the police, which today detained the woman and was being questioned.
Police has registered under FIR no 61 of 2008 under relevant sections of law in this regard and detained the woman for questioning.
