| Jawan commits suicide in Reasi | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | June 13
An Army jawan today committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said that an army jawan identified as Immanuel Hmar (31), of 59 Rashtriya Rifles died on the spot after he shot himself with his service rifle at his residential quarter at Deolmarg in Reasi.
Defence spokesman Lt Col SD Goswami said that the deceased jawan was resident of Churachandpur, Manipur.
He said a court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident and a case has been registered at the Reasi police station. |
