| Elect. Linemen, workers call on CE, discuss problems | | | Early Times Reporter

A deputation of J&K Electric Department Lineman and Workers Union led by Madan Lal Chalotra, Rattan Singh, Tara Chand and Kartar Nath met Chief Engineer (CE) of Power Dev. Deptt D.S Pawar here today and apprised him about the D.P.C regarding to Non-Gazetted employees which has not been conducted since long due to which the departmental employees are badly suffering.
As per release deputation also apprised the Chief Engineer that the salary of the daily rated workers/employees is not being paid regularly and month to month basis and in this connection the daily wagers/daily rated employees are badly suffering. Daily rated employees are working round the clock and their lives are always at risk and no compensation is being paid to their families which is really regrettable.
Power assured the deputation that all the problems of the employees of PDD (Non-Gazetted) will be settled as soon as possible and conveyed that the DPC will be conducted on 17th of this month. He also assured that the salary of the daily rated employees will also be settled. He also appealed to the Chief Minister to negotiate the striking employees as the public is badly suffering due to the said strike for the last more than three months. |
