At least six civilians sustain minor injuries here this afternoon after a grenade attempted at Police station missed the target and exploded on the road.
Eyewitnesses told KMT that unidentified persons hurled the grenade towards the Police station early this after noon, which exploded on the roadside. Six persons were injured after they suffer splinter injuries due to the explosion.
The incident took place near Police station Baramulla when the entire market was bustling with activity after four day strike ended today in wake of government conceding the demand of increase in hike prices.
The explosion created panic as people ran for the shelter. Six persons who sustained minor injuries were shifted to district hospital where four of theme was discharged after first aid.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers. |
