| PK accuses Kashmir based leadership of shrinking spaces of co-existence | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 17 In a scathing attack on both the 'mainstream' and separatist leadership of valley over their stand on transfer of land to SASB, One of the frontal organizations of KP's, Pannun Kashmir today slammed coalition partner PDP for its malicious campaign against the transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and annual pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra. Expressing grave concern over the statement of Deputy CM Muzaffer Hussein Beig, wherein he had stated that their party came under pressure of some congress leaders compelling them to allow the transfer of land to SASB as they had threatened to put hindrance in the ongoing construction of Mugal Road, Chairman Pannun Kashmir Dr. Ajay Chrungoo while addressing a press conference strongly condemned the statement and describing it as a pan Islamic ideology of religious cleansing. He alleged that the coalition partner PDP in the congress led government has started malicious campaign against the Amarnath Yatra since 2003 and involved other separatist and secessionist groups in the trend. Those seeking curtailment in the annual pilgrimage on the plea of environmental concerns were not aware of other circles threatening environment in the valley, he said. "No questions are being raised on the Mugal road construction that destroys green gold from Budhal to Shopian and non of the leaders whether separatist or so called mainstream expressed their concern," he said and added that Dal and Wullar lakes which have been shrinking due to encroachment and pollution and no body is concerned over it. Accusing both state as well as central governments for being a mute spectator on those who openly criticized the land transformation to SASB in the valley and considered it as government gimmick to boost the moral of the fundamental forces that were hell bent to destroy all Hindu links of Kashmir. He also criticized the state government for failing to safe guard the religious shrines and immovable property of KP's in the valley and held successive government in the state responsible for providing free hand in grabbing KP's estates. |
