| Sharika Vihar residents protest water scarcity | | | Early Times Reporter

Continuous water crisis for last fifteen days has compelled the Sharika Vihar residents to throng the office of the Chief Engineer to press the authorities for restoration of water supply to entire colony.
Hundreds of inhabitants of colony under the leadership of BJP Grievance Cell District President, Ved Pal Sharma gathered at the office of Chief Engineer and held a strong protest against the official apathy.
They raized slogans aganst the concerned authorities for their callous attitude in providing the water supply to the area.The Protestants were alleging that it was the negligence of PHE employees, which keeps water supply off to the denizens of colony.
They brought into the notice of the concerned authorities that due to continuous scarcity of water they are compelled to purchase the tankers to meet their requirement but the water spoils after some days as a result of which it causes health problems to the people.
BJYM president, Ved Prakash Sharma accused the authorities for giving only false assurances to the people from time to time and provide water supply only when they fear a protest by the denizens of the area.
However, the Executive Engineer City in absence of Chief Engineer gave full assurance to the Protestants for early solution of their problem. |
