Handa College celebrates annual day

Handa college of Education celebrates annual day today in the college auditorium. It was colourful bonanza of a variety of cultures with the students presenting folk songs and dances from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan. The celebrations began with the lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana Sung by the college students.
The students hailing from different states of the country highlighting the specialties of their states. The students form Rajasthan memorized the audience with their " Ghommer" where as the students from Punjab showed that they did not lack far behind their foot tapping" Bhangra" and ' Gidda" following the gidda and the bhangra were the soft and melodious songs and dances from Himachal Pradesh.
Besides this the students of " the adult education club also staged a skit on the illis of illiteracy to mark the worlds literacy day today.
.The Principal of the college Prof. US Bali read the annual report of the college in which he highlighted the various achievements f the colleges and its students in the past one year and also highlighted the excellent academic result achieved by the students in the preceding year and encouraged the students of the present batch to keep up to the tradition. He congratulated the management of the college, for starting the construction for the hostel block for the girl students in the college campus.
Veena Handa the chairperson of the college and the chief guest for the day congratulated the students and the staff members for the stupendous performance by them in the annual function. He also congratulated the students for staging the play on literacy and urged them to make a pledge as teachers to encourage that the scourge of illiteracy was rooted out of our country.
