| Vigilance produces challan against Chief Drill Instructor of Auxiliary Police | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 17 State Vigilance Organization has produced challan against Abdul Hamid Dar, Chief Drill Instructor, Auxiliary Police Training Institute, Parimpora, Srinagar, in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir. The alleged accused was caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs.500 on May 14 last year from the complainant. Manzoor Ahmad Najar s/o Gul Mohammed Najar r/o Hogam, Anantnag lodged a written complaint with vigilance organization on May 14, 2007 alleging therein that. Abdul Hamid Dar, Chief Drill Instructor, Auxiliary Police Training Institute, Parimpora, Srinagar was demanding illegal gratification for sanction of casual leave. Case FIR No.31/2007 P/S VOK U/S 5(2) P.C r/w 161 RPC was registered and investigation taken up. In the course of investigation, the officials of SVO proceeded to Parimpora and the Chief Drill Instructor was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.500 from the complainant. The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the Chief Drill Instructor in presence of independent witnesses. The hand and pocket wash of the accused was conducted which tested positive. After accord of sanction for prosecution by the Government challan was produced in the court of law today along with the accused Chief Drill Instructor. |
