| Backwards have been always oppressed: Sat Pal | | | Early Times Reporter

During six years Rule of present Ruling Coalition of J&K State the SC, ST, OBCs (Other Social Castes) and the religious minorities along with those among the general masses having no approach have faced all types of oppression and deprivation from the due share in all sectors, said Sat Pal chief of tghe National Bahujan Party.
Addressing a press cionference today, he aid SCs have not been provided with Reservation according to Population Proportion at State / Province & District Level in Professional Training Institutions, Recruitment and Promotions in Govt. & Private Sectors. Backlog quota has also not been filled up. STs are also meeting the same fate at the hands of Present Regime of J&K State.
“OBCs are the worst sufferers in J&K State. Their nomenclature has been changed from OBC to OSC & other artificial OBCs like RBA and ALC have been included in OBC which is clear cut violation of Constitution of India which reads as OBCs are those Castes who are Socially & Educationally Backward other than SCs& STs. Inclusion of areas in OBCs category is nowhere in Constitution of India. This has particularly been done to create a great hurdle in their recruitment in the Central & State Services. They are getting 2% Reservation in Recruitment and 1% in Promotions. Mandal Commission Recommendations have not been accepted by the Govt. of J&K State. The population of Real OBCs i.e Backward Castes who are Socially and Educationally backward other than SCs & STs is approximately 50% in J&K State and this Govt. of J&K has not yet has not included many castes of real OBCs in OBC list. The State Govt. has not even made any survey of OBCs over here and instead of giving 27% reservation to OBCs (OSCs) they are giving mere 2%. It shows their regime is making mockery of OBCs and is humiliating this big oppressed lot of population,” he added.
Under Such circumstances the SC, ST and OBCs (OSC’s) and Poor Upper castes who are neglected by the present regime must organize themselves under the banner of NBP in whole of the State of J&K to achieve 27% reservation for OBCs in all spheres as well as Reservtion to SCs and STs according to Poulation Proportion and also to Poor among the Upper Castes.
On the occasion Tilak Raj Kashyap a Social Worker from Jammu along with Prithvi Raj Kashyap , Surinder Kumar , Manoj Kumar , Vijay Kumar and their joined National Bahujan Party along with their supporters to organise the oppressed people in J&K State for achieving their Fundamental Rights and fighting against atrocities faced by this oppressed lot of population. Sh. Krishan Basotra State Gen. Secy. NBP took them to Party fold by garlanding them and assured them due Status and full opportunity to work for the oppressed people in J&K State. Tilak Raj Kashyap pledged to organise his people in J&K State and launch struggle for getting 27% reservation for Real OBCs in J&K State.
