IAF recruitment rally concludes
Over 2300 aspirants participated in rally

Over 2300 unemployed educated youth, hailing from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir State, participated in the recruitment rally of Indian Air Force (Male category) for selection as Airman Technical and Non-Technical trades, which concluded at Udhampur last evening.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, O.P. Kalandria during an interaction with media persons here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, J.L.Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Rakesh Jamwal, Deputy Director Employment,. Roshan Lal Raina, Squadron Leader, S.K.Mishra, Wing Commanders, P.Sarthi and Radha Krishnan were also present on the occasion.
Terming the recruitment rally a grand success, Kalandria said that out of 2300 candidates, who had reported at the rally site for selection, 416 aspirants were declared eligible for technical and non-technical trades after passing through written, physical and medical interview tests.
After issuance of final selection orders from Central Air Force Selection Board, New Delhi, the selected candidates would be put on probationary period in the first instance in Technical and Non-Technical trades, the DC said.
Complimenting the Air Force authorities for putting in their sincere efforts in the the selection process, Kalandria said that this would go a long way in solving the problem of unemployment in the state to some extent. He also lauded the role of Employment, Police, Information and other related departments of the state government who made tireless efforts to make the rally a grand success.
The District administration had made elaborate arrangements of boarding lodging, security, transport, first-aid, drinking water and sanitation during the recruitment rally days.
Regarding the criteria of selection process, Commanding Officer, Airman Selection Centre, Ambala, S.K.Mishra said that during the recruitment rally, all India level selection process was adopted to select the eligible candidates for Technical and Non-Technical trades. He expressed thanks to district administration for extending full support in conducting the rally smoothly.
