Poonch | June 17
President district Congress committee Poonch Zaffarullah toured Jhalas, Dara, Dullian, Krishna Ghati and Dharati areas of Poonch district and took stock of the problems of the people.
As per a press release, Zaffarullah said that due to heavy rain and storm the people suffered a lot, many houses got damaged and cattle drowned in the flood besides electric supply has been disrupted and roads and tracks badly damaged. He urged upon the district administration to come to the aid of the people, immediately. He said that Mendhar Town is also affected due to heavy rains and urged upon the block administration to improve the lanes drainage system in the town immediately.
While addressing public meeting at Krishna Ghati, affarullah said that district Poonch has witnessed tremendous development in every field in the last five years. He appealed to the people to strengthen the hands of PCC chief Prof. Saif-ud-din-Soz and chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the ensuing assembly elections so that the pace of development may not hamper, the release added. |
