Poonch | June 18
In a new twist to the recovery of a girl student of B.Ed college Poonch from a hotel in New Delhi by the police, the girl today alleged that the persons, who have allegedly 'kidnapped' and repeatedly 'raped' her, were not arrested by the police despite her complaints to police authorities.
Sources informed that the girl in her statement has revealed the names of some persons who have allegedly kidnapped and raped her and accused concerned police officials of their failure to arrest the persons involved who have committed such a 'heinous' crime.
In her sensational disclosure, the girl identified as Marheen (name changed) of Mendhar informed that she was abducted by some persons when she was going to attend her college.
"When I reached Poonch through a video coach, some persons including Mohammad Mehroof Jaat son of Mohammad Hussain of Ari, his three kins, one Mohammad Aslam and his wife Shugufta Shabnum, a government teacher, of Jughal area had insisted me to take cold drink. After consuming cold drink, I fell unconscious and these persons with the assistance of a police constable Mohammad Aslam, who happens to be brother-in-law of Mohammad Mehroof Jaat, shifted me to Jammu and remained there for two days at hotel Nek in Gumat area," she alleged.
She further alleged that the 'kidnappers' had repeatedly committed rape with her at Jammu hotel and she was further shifted to Srinagar in unconscious condition. "I was kept in a Shikara of one Mohammad Bashir Bhat at Dalgate in Srinagar for two days and Mehroof Jaat alongwith his colleagues also continuously raped me here. I was then shifted to Delhi in unconscious condition as these people always used to mix some substance in drink which was given to me due which I fell unconscious," she alleged.
"They shifted me to Rizwan guest house in New Delhi and repeatedly me for eleven days there. A special Police Officer (SPO) belt number 309 Zaheer Khan had escaped me from their captivity," she informed.
It may be mentioned here that a FIR number 50/08 Under Section 366/109 RPC was registered with police station Gursai by the parents of the girl. Acting on specific information, police had deputed a special police team to Delhi under guidance of SDPO Mendhar Sanjay Singh Rana to recover the girl.
The girl, while seeking justice, alleged, "Though I have disclosed the names of the persons who had kidnapped and repeatedly raped me, concerned police officials are reluctant to take action against the culprits." She demanded immediate arrest of all the persons whose names has been disclosed by her.
