JU organizes slogan writing competition to mark Azad's birth anniversary

JAMMU, Nov 11: Department of Students Welfare (DSW), University of Jammu commemorated the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad which is celebrated as the National Education Day by organizing a slogan writing competition on the topic, 'The importance of Education and the Nation's commitment to all aspects of Education'. Vivek Parihar from Department of Dogri, Chetan Sharma from Department of Sociology and Deepak Singh from The Law School secured first, second and third positions respectively. Certificate of Merit was awarded to Srishti Koul from Department of Chemistry.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare congratulated the students who took part in this event of great relevance to the Nation enthusiastically. Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee and Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee were the adjudicators for the Slogan writing competition.
