| MCC holds training under Grameen Vikas Aandolan” | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 18 A two day’s training programme under Grameen Vikas Andolan (GVA) was held at Surankote Poonch. As per press release, the programme was inaugurated by Rashid Choudhary Assistant Commissioner Development Poonch, when about 200 community representatives, youth, traditional water expert and Govt. functionaries attended the inaugural ceremony by a two days training was attended by sixty selected beneficiaries jointly selected by Modern Cultural Club (MCC) Rajouri and BDO Surankote. In his key note address chief functionary MCC said that GVA is a National programme supported by CAPART (council for advancement of people action in rural technology) under Ministry of Rural Development Govt. of India and Modern Cultural Club has been assigned with the responsibility of launching this programme in Surankote block of Distt Poonch J&K. He said that the objective of GVA is to rain community representatives, SHG’s, village youth, Govt. servant’s traditional water experts and through them make rural people aware of the need for water conservation, sanitation and above all development scheme of Ministry Rural Development Govt. of India. He disclosed that the programme is implemented in the districts where employment guarantee scheme under NREGA is applicable. Other resources person who interacted with the participants on various topics includes Pritam Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Sharif Kasana and Parvinder Singh, the release added. |
