| Sikh organizations hold meeting | | | Early Times Reporter

An emergency meeting of various Sikh Organizations J&K was held under the Chairmanship of S Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer, Bhai Kanahiya Nisham Seva Society J&K, where it was expressed and appealed to Ghulam Nabi Azad Chief Minister, J&K, J&K State of coalition, Govt and brought it to the kind of notice that since 30th of June 2008, both the Chariman, J&K School Education Board as well as Secretary, school Education, Board are due to their retirement of their services and it is the high time that one of the said posts should be granted to the member of Sikh Committee as since the year 1985 only S Inderjeet Singh was appointed as the Chariman of the State School Board and after it no Sikh member of the Committee has ever been posted t the said post. As per release the further requested that an Honest as well as Educationist from Sikh Committee may be granted one of the said post in State Board of School Education, keep in view of a number of sacrifices made by the Sikh Community right from the start of their great Gurus. They further expressed in the meting that it is equally important for the coalition Govt. to install one Sikh Member of High Dignity well Educated Sikh personnel to the post of Member/Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board, as this being the demand of time when no where a sikh member has ever been inducted in the sate education board nor in J&K Serviced Selection Board, which shall give a boost to the sikh community.
Those who participated were S. Narbir Singh, S Paramjit Singh, S Satinder Pal Singh Sethi, S. Kulwant Singh, S. Kultar Singh, Harbans Kour, S. Manmohan Singh and S. Davinder Singh, the release added. |
