Only 9.37pc of Rs 120.96 cr approved Budget spent on agriculture

Srinagar, Nov 13: Only 9.37 per cent of Rs 120.96 crore approved budget under various schemes for development of agriculture and allied sector was spent so far during the current fiscal year in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Meanwhile, 78.9 per cent of the Rs 5501.96 crore funds made available to develop various sectors under district CAPEX budget were spent so far in Pulwama.
An official said in agriculture and allied sector an amount of Rs 120.31 crore under regular schemes was approved out of which Rs 63.60 crore were released and Rs 11.28 crore was expended till ending October 2019.
He said under district CAPEX budget 2019-20, an amount of Rs 5501.69 crore was made available and 4340.96 crore was expended till ending October 2019 under various schemes.
The official said in Elementary Education, SSA, Secondary Education, RMSA, Youth Services & Sports, Health, PHE, Urban Development, Nutrition and Midday meals, an amount of Rs 413.76 crore have been released, of which Rs 280.34 crore have been expended till ending Oct 2019.
