| MD NABARD visiting J&K | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | June 18
Managing Director (MD) NABARD Dr. K.G. Karmakar is paying a visit to J&K from June 19 in connection with the assessment of the implementation of the debt relief scheme 2008 in the state, announced by the central government.
Dr. Karmakar with rich experience in the agriculture arena and his contribution in development of the agriculture and rural development is well recognized at national; and international level and has also authored books on agriculture and rural development which are extensively used by bankers as reference books for appraisal of agriculture projects.
He will visit Udhampur district on 19 June and have detailed interaction with the branches of state cooperative agriculture and rural development bank (SCARDB) and state bank of India. He will also visit branch of Jammu Central Co-operative Bank (JCCB) and primary agriculture credit society (PACS) at Dansal for this purpose.
He will be visiting Leh from 20 to 21 and will assess the implementation of scheme and other potential for development of the area. |
