| Jora inaugurates 75 KVA diesel generator at Mangyu | | | Early Times Reporter Leh | June 19 THE minister for Industries and Commerce Nawang Rizgin Jora today inaugurated 75 KVA diesel generator at village Mangyu installed at a cost of Rs. 40 lakhs. Congratulating the people of the area on fulfilling their major demand, the minister said that with the installation of this generator would ease electric problem in the area. He on this occasion assured that Gera village would soon get the electricity by connecting it with the DG station which was inaugurated today. He also appreciated the PDD functionaries for taking keen interest in installation of this much needed generator set in a shortest time. Responding to the demands the minister said that possibilities would be explored to construct a steel motorable bridge over Indus at Gera and a similar bridge to link Hipti village under NABARD. As regards construction of Mangyu road, the minister urged the people to spare land for this purpose. He issued on the spot orders to the engineers of the concerned department to make a survey for laying a culvert at Ladro Nallah to ensure smooth flow of pedestrian traffic. Superintending Engineers of PDD and PWD Leh besides the executive engineers of different wings and several other district officers accompanied the minister. |
