| Sant Kabir’s teachings are more relevant in present era: Randhir | | | Early Times Reporter

Former Minster and state NCP chief Thakur Randhir Singh paid glowing tributes to Sant Kabir on his 410th birth anniversary here today. Addressing at a function held here Singh said that teachings of Sant Kabir are more relevant in the present era as he gave the message of non-violence, peace, amity, equality, brotherhood and secularism.
Singh said that India has been abode of saints and spiritual personalities of all faiths and it is high time that the younger generation is made aware of the teachings of Saint Kabir to bring greater cohesion and unity among people to face the challenges of divisive, communal and anti people elements in this country. Thakur on the occasion appealed the state govt to declare holiday on the Birthday of Saint Kabir in Jammu and Kashmir. He also congratulated all J&K Megh Sudhar Sabha for taking a biggest Shobha Yatra in Jammu. He also demanded to setup a chair in Jammu University to spread the message of great Saint Kabir. Gulab Chand Bhagat thanked the guests and awarded momentos to the prominent leaders of All J&K Megh Sudhar Sabha. |
