| Some politicians trying to exploit voters on religious issues: MP | | | Early Times Reporter

Congress Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma has cautioned the people about certain political parties who want to exploit the voters on religious and other emotional issues, keeping an eye on the forth coming elections.
Addressing a series of meeting during his two days tour of Chowki-Choura, Raya Siot, Sunderbani, Malla-Bharore and Dori-Dger areas, Sharma said that as the elections are drawing near the certain political parties are exploiting the people on emotional issues instead of seeking support on their past performance and their policies and programmes. He said the massive development brought by the congress lead coalition regime in the state has great impact in the minds of people and the opposition parties are aware of the mood of people. This is the reason that they want to divert the attention of the masses from the development agenda in the election.
He listed various achievements of the government and said that people should analise the performance of the parties from developmental aspects.
Sharma donated an ambulance at Malla-Bharore out of his constituency development fund to the residents of this far-flung area. While at Sunderbani Sharma distributed prizes to the winner and runners up teams participating in the month long Pahari-Cup Tournament being organized by the Pahari Advisory Board and Pahari Cultural and Development Forum Sunderbani. |
