| Badminton: Kathua in U-14 final | | Divisional level inter-district competitions | | Early Times Reporter

Beating their counterparts from district Poonch 2-0, Kathua boys today made it into the final of under-14 boys badminton in the divisional level inter-district competitions organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Indoor Sports Complex, M A Stadium, here.
However, in under-14 girls section, Kathua lost to Jammu district 0-2. In the under-17 year category too, Kathua girls were beaten by their counterparts from Jammu again 0-2.
In the under-17 boys group, district Poonch outplayed Kathua 2-0.
Earlier, the two-day competitions were declared open by Assistant Director DYSS Jammu, Ashok Kumar.

BOYS: Under-14 semifinal: Singles: Sanjay Singh Jasrotia of Kathua bt Prabjot Singh of Poonch 2-0. Doubles: Anoop Gupta and Mohit Kalsotra of Kathua bt Ashutosh and Kritik of Poonch in straight sets. Under-17: Singles: Prashant of Poonch bt Amit of Kathua 2-0. Doubles: Akshay and Tejender of Poonch bt Amit and Sourav of Kathua 2-0.
GIRLS: Under-14: Singles: Diksha of Jammu bt Ashwaria Sharma of Kathua 2-1. Doubles: Gagandeep and Tanjula of Jammu bt Ashwaria and Shriya of Kathua 2-0. Under-17: Singles: Manisha bt Natasha of Kathua 2-0. Doubles: Deepakshi and Kirit of Jammu bt Natasha and Askanda of Kathua 2-0. |
