All India Confederation (AIC) of SC/ST Organization have hailed the nomination of Prof Amitbh Matoo, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, as member of the elite National Knowledge Commission,( NKC), which has been recently set up by the Union Government on the demand of several Universities of the country.
In a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president R K Kalsotra, while hailing the decision of inclusion of Prof Matoo in the Commission, the Organization described him ‘as a man of great intellectual power’ adding that they are proud of him, being the son of the soil to achieve this feat. His excellent work in making the University, a centre of academic excellence, would be remembered for long, the Association said.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Darshan Bhagat, Ch.Roshan Din, Ch. Mohammed Abdullah, R L Kaith, Dr A C Bhagat, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Kaith, Ramesh Chand, C L Kandley, Harbans Lal, H R Bahadur, Satish Mandi, Dharminder Lakhotra, Zubeer, Om Prakash Sargotra, Varinder Kaith, Sat Paul, Ravi Kumar, Surinder Kumar and Subash Verma. |
