| BRO labourers use detonator in marriage ceremony | | 1 critically injured in Dharmari | | Early Times Reporter

Have you ever heard about blasting of detonators in marriage celebrations instead of cracker firework? If not, it happened in Shajroo village of Dharmari area in tehsil Mahore of district Reasi when some labourers of Border Road Organization (BRO), who were taking part in a marriage, exploded detonators to mark celebrations on Wednesday.
Sources informed News Agency of Kashmir that one BRO labourer identified as Mohammad Azhar son of Yousuf, a resident of Shajroo got critical injuries when a detonator exploded in his hand during the marriage celebrations here last night. He was shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for advance treatment where his condition was stated to be critical.
Sources further informed, "Some labourers of BRO had detonators in their hands when they were taking part in a Bharat. 'Bharatis' were dancing to the tunes of drums. As soon as 'Bharat' reached at the residence of bride, some 'Bharatis' fired crackers. The heavily drunken BRO labourers having detonators in their hands were also dancing to the tunes of drums and exploded detonators. One of the labourers got critical injuries when a detonator exploded in his hand."
Reports said that panic gripped the entire area after the explosion of detonator. "The entire area was in panic after the explosion of detonator. People were surprised when they saw detonators in the hands of BRO labourers," told eyewitnesses to News Agency of Kashmir.
However, police have registered a case in this connection. |
