Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 19: Urging Prime Minister's, Union Home Minister's and Union Finance Minister's to take steps for immediate acceptance of recommendations of Lavasa committee on removal of pay anomalies through different levels of employees of GP D cadre along with recommendations for enhancement of minimum pension/pay from Rs. 18000/- to Rs. 21000,President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) SubashShastri today demanded immediate implementation and ratification of the same in the upcoming cabinet meeting be chaired by the Prime Minister's NarendraModi.
"Since the report is pending for want of decision, it is high time that the Prime Minister's display concern for lowest category of workforce who are already reeling under the burden of increased cost of living," Shastri said while addressing a well attended NMC workers meet at Gandhi Nagar. Lauding P.M's decision making capabilities, Shastri hoped that the Prime Minister's like earlier occasions will walk the talk on this issue also- a cause supposedly close to Prime Minister's heart.
Deliberating on the issue of regularization of daily rated workers working in the various departments of UTs Jammu and Kashmir who have been showered empty promises by the previous regimes, Shastri also appealed to newly appointed Lt. Governor G. C. Murmu to address and ameliorate the pathetic condition of these daily rated workers who incidentally have been denied salaries for over many years now. Hailing Lt. Governor's Marmu earlier roles within various levels of bureaucracy, Shastri described Marmu as a man of principle and great administrator. Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Darshan Bawa, Garu Ram and several others also spoke on the occasion.
