| Pak national arrested on Indo-Pak border | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 20 Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested a Pakistan national, who had 'inadvertently' crossed to Indian Territory, from International Border (IB) in R S Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night. Sources informed that the BSF authorities were tight lipped over the arrest of the youth as it is for fifth time that infiltration took place from this sector during the last one month, adding that BSF personnel noticed suspected movement along the border and sounded an alarm. He has been identified as Sahil, 25, son of Asif of Narwal Sailkote in Pakistan. The youth was carrying a wrist watch and rupees ten with him when he was arrested. Sources informed that the PAK youth had crossed the International Border 'by mistake'. "During the preliminary interrogation, the arrested youth gave different statements which made the BSF suspicious about him and decided to hand over the youth to Arnia police station," informed sources adding, "The youth claimed that he crossed to this side intentionally to work here as the labour wages in India are more than Pakistan. In another statement, he, however, said that he was frustrated as his father was not giving him proper attention and he decided to cross IB." Sources further informed that the changing statements of the arrested youth forced BSF to hand over him to police. "He will be shifted to Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) tomorrow where he will be questioned by other intelligence agencies," sources maintained. |
