Second edition of awareness campaign "Phenk Mat Jammu" launched

Jammu, Nov 22: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today launched second edition of 'Phenk Mat Jammu' awareness campaign in Heritage School, Jammu.
Pankaj Magotra, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation graced the occasion as a Chief Guest for 'Phenk Mat Jammu' and addressed the students on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the City. He said, children are the best change agents of society as they learn faster have the ability to influence others on environment safety. He also focused on JMC Project 2020 and discussed on various new initiatives and best practices being taken to create a Litter-free environment and beautification of our Jammu City.
Sujiv Jain, Member CII J&K and Managing Director of Karamhans Foods Pvt Ltd said, Phenk Mat Jammu is an initiative by CII and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) which aims at imbibing a social and sustained behavioural change in the youth of the city by internalising the habits of cleanliness and making them the lifelong ambassadors for anti-littering behaviour.
Other eminent speakers include Dr Zaffar Iqbal, Nodal Officer, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Akash Pradhaan, Principal Heritage School.
