A meeting of Provincial Power Employees’ Union was held here today under the chairmanship of union head Shakti Gupta where the working committee members were present.
As per a press release, while speaking in the meeting Shakti said that the union had given the State govt to resolve the issue of daily wagers of the power department of the province a one month time but the Govt has failed to do the same.
Shakti appealed to the employees of PDD to remain united for the cause of daily wagers. The demands raised on the occasion included regularization of all daily wager employees of PDD after 1994, issue of seniority list of daily wager, implementation of SRO 149 of 1973 for ITI matriculate/Non ITI/ non matriculate, release of 2½ day salary to all employee of PDD including drivers and risk allowance to all PDD employees.
Those who attended the meeting included Pawan Kapoor, Balbir Singh, Ashok Gupta, Subash Mehra and others, the release added. |
