| KAS officers demand posts of FC’s/ Principal Secretaries | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 20 President Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) Association, Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu has said that efforts are afoot to streamline the KAS cadre and posts of Financial Commissioners and Principal Secretaries would be created for the cadre which is the fundamental unit of the administration. He was interacting with the officers of different feeding gazette services who called on him here today. The officers of different feeding services apprised him about the problems faced by them in the field, besides discussing their promotion prospects in their respective departments. The President said that no change could be made in the service rules to the disadvantage of the services. He informed that Association has already requested the government for opening up the avenues of promotion to the KAS officers without making any change in the existing rules. He said Association supports the genuine cause of the officers. The officers appreciated the contribution of the KAS Association for supporting the local offices in their endeavor to serve the state. They impressed upon the President to include the officers of feeding services in the Association so that their cause in properly represented with the government. The officers also commended the gesture of other office bearers of the Association including General Secretary Kifayat Hussain Rizvi for supporting their genuine demands. |
