Manjit Club shall take on BSF XI in the first semi-final of the 2nd M D Bandey Memorial Volleyball Tournament organized by Bandey Memorial Trust in collaboration with Manjit Singh Volleyball Club at Degree College courts, here tomorrow.
In the quarterfinals played today, Manjit Club defeated Malik Club in straight sets 25-22, 25-20, 25-18. BSF XI made it into the last four stages getting a walkover Rashtriya Rifles (RR).
“In other pre-quarterfinal matches of the day, District Police defeated CRPF Club 25-14, 25-19, 25-20 and Malik Club got walkover Thana Mandi Club,” organising secretary Salim Bandey told SAN.
Today’s matches were officiated by Tariq Khan, Shahzada Khalid, Ram Parkash and Bhagwant Singh.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Member Legistlative Assembly (MLA) from Poonch, Jahangir Mir. |
