Jammu, Nov 27: The NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan wrote an letter to LT-Governor of Union Territory Of J&K regarding restoring internet services ,inflicts disproportionate harm on the population and should be immediately lifted. The disruption to services since August 5, 2019, has exacerbated an information blackout, stopped families from communicating, prevented people from accessing medical services, and disrupted the local economy. However, international human rights law prohibits broad, indiscriminate, and indefinite restrictions on fundamental freedoms, including the right to free expression and to provide and receive information, The restrictions are provoking anger, causing economic harm, and fueling rumors that are making a bad human rights situation even worse. In a Press statement NSUI National President Neeraj kundan raised a demand to restore internet services In J&K since the internet shutdown is depriving Kashmiri Students who depend on mobile messaging apps or email access to their research activities.
More than 5,000 students are unable to apply for NEET exams due to lack of resources. NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan appeals the central government to look into this matter very seriously and take necessary actions to restore the internet services for beneficial of student community and research fraternity. |
