| PDP stays away from farewell dinner | | | Early Times Reporter

In a reflections of its discomfiture with Lt Gen SK Sinha running for last five years, the Peoples Democratic Party –a partner in government –stayed away from the official dinner hosted by the Chief Minister in honour of the outgoing Governor.
Despite having been invited, none of the Peoples Democratic Party leaders turned up at CM’s dinner party in Governor’s honour. Sources said that many of the PDP leaders even refused to accept the invitations saying that before leaving the Governor has put Jammu and Kashmir on fire.
The Chairman of the Legislative Council Ghulam Nabi Lone, who enjoys a highest constitutional position after the Governor too did not turn up at the ceremonial dinner in Governor’s honour. |
