On Thursday when Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi were busy fine tuning their party's response to pacify the adamant Left allies on the future of Nuclear deal, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate LK Advani was on secret pilgrimage to Amarnath cave shrine.
Official sources said that LK Advani arrived in Srinagar in the morning on Thursday morning and headed straight to the Amarnath shrine. After performing pooja and darshan in Amarnath cave Advani returned to Srinagar and after a brief break went back to Delhi without attending to any other engagement. The senior BJP leader was long nurturing a desire to perform darshan of the shiv lingam in the Amarnath cave shrine and fulfilled his wish, official sources said. |
